While Ronald Reagan’s tragic death and moving national funeral were pregnant with oracular meaning for America and the war in the Middle East a far more compelling sign about the fate of the region and our growing urgent conflict with Iran was revealed seventy weeks before on a cold winter day in two parallel disasters claiming 14 lives, occurring 4000 miles apart.

The first of these disasters, which took the lives of 7 astronauts, was the destruction of STS 107, the Columbia Space Shuttle, on its return flight to earth after a mission of 16 days. The second disaster I will get to later as it is the least important of the two and serves only to bolster my long held view of the Columbia’s prophetic significance and supernatural origin.

Aboard the doomed ship, as you’ll recall, was Ilan Ramon, one of eight Israeli air force pilots that participated in the devastating preemptive strike on Saddam Hussein’s Osiriq nuclear plant in 1981, the year of Columbia’s maiden voyage (see note 1). Ominously, the explosion of the ship was directly over, or very near to, the town of Palestine in the President’s home state of Texas (see note 2). The ship was launched from the Kennedy Space Center on January 16th and returned 16 days later on February 1st to its doom. Ominously and portentously, and not by the workings of chance, these two dates correspond to two of the three most significant events in the 29 year history of the Iranian Revolution: the flight and exile from Iran on January 16, 1979 of Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlavi, and the triumphant return to Tehran 16 days later of the dreadful Ayatollah Khomeine (see note 3).

THE MIRACLE OF THE BLACK BOX

Theo, not only did the shuttle explosion occur on the anniversary of Khomeine’s return to Iran-the 24th to be exact-but it was also 46 days before the start of hostilities against Saddam when America launched its successful pre-emptive “Shock and Awe” campaign to topple him. While Ramon’s presence on the ship was remarkable in the extreme, drawing world attention to the preemptive strike on Osiraq (as if prefiguring the coming pre-emptive Iraq War), March 19, 2003 (3/19)-the day the Iraq War began-was the day that saw the astonishing recovery of Columbia’s OEX recorder box (or black box) after an exhausting and painstaking search (see note 4).

As the passage of time has vindicated Ilan Ramon’s Osiriq raid as a necessary action for Israel’s security (and that of the region and world) the amazing recovery of the shuttle’s recorder on 3/19 was an unequivocal sign that Operation Iraqi Freedom was a war of necessity. It signaled that the war was providentially decreed and fated to be, fated to be ordered by our 9/11 President, George W. Bush-the son of the man who went to war with Iraq in a campaign that lasted 43 days-the presidency number of the son (note 5).

Look at it this way, Theo: the shuttle is launched on January 16, 2003 twelve years to the day when the first Gulf War began in 1991; then the shuttle’s black box is found on the day when Operation Iraqi Freedom begins, signifying continuity and an inner unity between the war fought by the father and then by the son. Indeed, the Gulf War went on from January 16, 1991 to February 28th of that year. In other words, a war that begins against Saddam in January ends in February then resumes 12 years later in March and is concluded 12 days into April with the capture of Baghdad and the fall of Saddam. January, February, March, April a war begun, ended then resumed and finally won in four consecutive months minus the 12 year interval. Anyway you look at this it gives you notions of continuity, progress and fate; the notion that Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom were two phases of one war interrupted by 12 years: the liberation of Kuwait from Iraq then the liberation of Iraq from Saddam (see note 6). It impresses you with the thought that George W. Bush was destined to be President, that his extraordinary defeat of Al Gore, in the closest and most dramatic presidential race in history (concluded in a state governed by his brother), was the work of Providence; and that he was fated to continue and bring to fruition, with the downfall of Saddam, the war begun in Iraq by his dad 12 years before.

THE BIG BANG EVENT, THE DAY OF ASHURA AND THE SUNNI-SHIA WARS

As the meaningful coincidence of the black box’s recovery on 3/19 binds the Columbia explosion to the explosive invasion of Iraq, a “Big Bang event” that shook the Arab world, shattered 1300 years of Sunni hegemony and altered the balance of power in the region, history will justify the operation as it has vindicated Israel’s devastating attack on Osiraq (see notes 7 and 8). In other words, as the black box miraculously survived Columbia’s demise and precipitous fall to earth (providing NASA with valuable data) something good and valuable will survive the catastrophe of Iraq no matter how bleak, mistaken and awful it now seems. That is one meaning of this complex, multi-dimensional sign as it relates to the disastrous end and aftermath of Saddam’s sadistic regime, a cancer on the earth that was wiped off clean (see note 9).

The historical truth is this, Theo: when U.S. forces invaded Iraq they returned the horrific carnage of 9/11 to the place of its origin, unleashing the forces of creative destruction (of death and renewal) and dividing the region against itself-as Arab Shiites took control of an Arab state for the first time in history. The unleashing of sectarian strife that roiled Iraq and the division and pluralization of the Arab world into Sunni and Shia-causing new tensions and conflicts necessary for its evolution-was strangely prefigured on October 10, 2002, the day the Iraq War Resolution passed Congress. Celebrated by Moslems as the Day of Ashura this day in 680 AD saw the famous Battle of Karbala (modern day Iraq) when Sunnis and Shiites first fought each other and started their age old conflict over Mohammed’s political succession. This indicates that however much this ancient conflict unleashed by the invasion has died down due to the surge sectarian animosities are still very strong, deadly and for the most part insoluble. It indicates that sectarian strife was the unavoidable consequence of deposing Saddam, which was necessary both for our national security and the long term progress of the region. As for reconciliation of Sunni and Shia this is many generations away and will, I believe, only come when ancient hatreds and differences are exhausted and transcended after a long and bloody sectarian war-as happened with Catholics and Protestants in 17th century Europe (see note 10).

Theo, those who saw in the Columbia disaster and the death of Ilan Ramon a thunderous omen warning against the consequences of the coming Iraq invasion; warning that a disastrous mistake was about to be made by an “arrogant” President blinded by 9/11 and ready to “rush off to war,” were interpreting Columbia in a complete mental fog. Overcome by fear of impending doom their well meaning views were divorced from the frozen social, political and economic realities of the region; divorced from its need for drastic, catastrophic, convulsive change to unfreeze the region (an incubator of terrorism) and force it to move in a new direction. As this new direction is toward democracy, free markets and rule of law its only possible starting point, given the region’s inertia and resistance to change, was in the hell and horror of war.

If in the short run the prospects of freedom look bleak in the Middle East due to the enemies of progress ferociously fighting change in the end their cause will miserably fail and freedom will prevail. Freedom owns the future of the Middle East and its difficult, deadly transformation has begun.

In short, the Columbia was a warning to Saddam, Iran and the rulers of the region that acts of terror against the U.S. are perilous; that a wounded and bleeding America would be their worst nightmare; that a thunderstorm of havoc would fall on their heads and devour their cities unless they reform, change course and join the civilized world. With fascist Iran developing nuclear arms it looks like the day of reckoning is fast approaching; for an impotent America trapped in Iraq as Iran gets the bomb means the disaster of all disasters could come upon them.

History is dragging the Middle East kicking and screaming into the 21st century. It is suffering through a violent rite of passage from savagery to civilization that began with Napoleon’s failed invasion of Egypt and continues today in the agony and turmoil of Iraq, the crisis in Lebanon and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. You can argue the wisdom of the invasion, and the continued “occupation” of Iraq (as I do), but what is inarguable are the vast historic changes caused by the war, and these, I believe, are providential and in the long run good for the region and world. In a flash of insight President Bush wisely said “there is a higher plan above all human plans.” And this higher plan uses our human plans and policies as phases in a grand design for the moral, social and political progress of mankind. History is inseparable from an immutable order of Providence. It is a script written by God and directed by His angels and we are its players nations, communities, families and individuals with America playing the pivotal role on the great world stage. And that is why America is called “ the dangerous nation,” a danger to tyranny, despotism and the forces of regression in all of their facets, guises and forms.

The Father of Lights, who plans and directs the course of events, is a being of perfect goodness bringing good out of the evil that humanity suffers for its progress in virtue and truth. As God is supremely good, wise and holy He wills what is good and best for His creatures, as doing otherwise is against His nature. And among the good things He wills is the best form of government for mankind to order its affairs. Based on historical experience and not ideology, on the progress of events for over 200 years, that government is Liberal Democracy, the golden mean between anarchy and tyranny, the end and purpose of human history.

Let the rulers and peoples of the Middle East be warned:

The greater the resistance to the democratic future and the forces of progress and change the more death and destruction will visit your region until freedom is realized and peace is attained!

In sum, Theo, the near miraculous recovery of Columbia’s black box at the start of the war by a Florida man is an unmistakable sign that the war was Immutably Decreed and was led by the right man at the right time in world history; led by an intrepid leader on fire with faith whose dramatic election to office was as extraordinary and rare as the terrible events that were to follow.

NUMERICAL SIGNS OF IRAN

Theo, the terrible shuttle tragedy from start to finish has Iran, Iraq and the Global War on Terror written all over it. But what especially qualifies this event as a supernatural sign pointing to Iran as the next campaign in the war is the incredible numerology of the Islamic Republic’s complete name. Indeed, just as the take off and disaster dates of STS 107 marvelously correspond to the flight of the Shah from Iran and Khomeine’s return that this is not a meaningless coincidence served up by chance is shown by the numeric value of Iran’s full name. For incredibly the 21 letter name ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN has a value of 107, correlating exactly to the identifying number of the doomed ship (see note 11). Moreover, as the disaster occurred on the 24th anniversary of Khomeine’s return to Iran nor is it an accident that the name IRAN has a numeric value of 24. This underscores the central reason of the tragedy as a prophetic event signaling that a peaceful resolution to the conflict with the mullahs is unrealistic; it signals that the Khomeine revolution and its nuclear weapons program are inseparable and non-negotiable; that sanctions, bombings, uprisings, political isolation, economic crisis and the like are useless, and that military intervention aiming at regime change is the best of many bad options and the only real answer (see note 12).

STS 107 AND THE OCTOBER 7TH WAR ON TERROR

Furthermore, and more importantly, as 107, the shuttle’s STS number, is one of two numbers signifying Iran encoded therein is the date October 7th or 10-7. This is the date President Bush went on the military offensive and boldly launched the War on Terror attacking al Qaida and the Taliban in Afghanistan, and driving the later from power. In other words, this war of necessity prompted by Providence which the President began on 10-7 in reaction to 9/11 has the destruction of the Islamic Republic (107) for its end and final phase. This is not to be understood in the that this will bring an end to suicide bombings and violent attacks by stateless jihadists like al Qaida and other rogue groups; but that the Islamic Republic the first jihadist regime since the fall of the Ottoman Turks will be the last in human history (see note 13).

It is fascinating to note that the toppling of Saddam and the Taliban and the coming violent end of fascist Iran are rooted in the events of a single year spaced apart by a mathematical wonder that seems to indicate intelligent design. For this year, 1979, saw the Ayatollah Khemeine and Saddam Hussein come to power in Iraq and Iran; and it also saw the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan which was the originating cause of the Taliban’s rise to power. Amazingly, and starting with the Taliban, we are deposing the regimes in reverse order with the mullahs next in line after Saddam for destruction. But what I believe to be another sign indicating that the fates of Iraq and Afghanistan overshadow Iran as the only alternative to ending its menacing regime is that the date July 16th, when Saddam became Iraq’s dictator, is equidistant from February 1st when Khomeine returned to Iran and December 25th when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan by exactly 5 months or 23 weeks (see note 14). What this indicates is that all three regimes are equally menacing and wicked and condemned by Providence for extinction. And while the length of days separating Iraq from Iran is greater by three than Iraq from Afghanistan this perhaps is indicative that overthrowing of the mullahs would take longer and be more difficult.

THE IRAQ WAR RESOLUTION

Amazingly, Theo, it was the 107th Congress that voted on the Iraq War Resolution which authorized President Bush to use military force in removing Saddam from power. Congress’s number “107” corresponds to the date 10-7 when the War on Terror began and to the number signifying Islamic Iran and the exploded spacecraft. In other words, first the war on terror began on 10-7 then on October 10, 2002 the 107th Congress passed Resolution 114 authorizing the war against Iraq and then, incredibly, early the following year, STS 107 is destroyed on the anniversary of Khomeine’s return to Iran.

This shows an underlying unity between the toppling of Saddam and the Taliban as necessary operations in the War on Terror and points ahead to the future, calling for Iran and its terrorist rulers to suffer a similar fate as this is the only viable way to end their reign of terror and death.

HILLARY CLINTON AND THE OBLITERATION OF THE MULLAHS

Theo, the necessity of using American power to end the theofascist regime in Iran was shockingly indicated by Columbia’s total obliteration on the 24th anniversary of Khomeine’s return to Iran which marked the beginning of his evil revolution. Another striking indication of the need to destroy this regime and its inevitable violent end is when the word “obliteration” was used by Hillary Clinton in a recent Q&A with reporters to warn Iran of massive nuclear retaliation if they were to launch a nuclear attack on Israel during a Clinton administration. It seems to me that her words were prophetic in that the only solution to the menacing mullahs, to ending their nuclear weapon’s program and massive funding of Islamic terror, is their violent removal from power with or without a nuclear strike. For when a total of 24 complete weeks (the numeric sign of Iran) is added to April 22, 2008, when Hillary made her controversial statement, it brings us to the date October 7, 2008 or 10-7 (signifying Iran and the obliterated space shuttle) 7 years to the day when the President started the War on Terror.

IRAN’S SAMSON OPTION

Indeed, Theo, Ilan Ramon’s presence on the destroyed ship signifies that a preemptive air strike on Iran’s nuclear and military sites would fall dangerously short of what needs to be done to take the U.S., Israel, the Middle East and world economy out of danger; it signifies that anything less than a full scale military campaign, land, sea and air, aiming at the mullah’s eradication would be a dangerous half measure, the mother of all errors, as it would leave the regime in power to pursue its imperial aims and at best delay the evil day when they go nuclear and use their terrible weapons. Indeed, if a nuclear Iran is faced with the prospect of economic collapse due to sanctions, embargoes or declining oil and gas production (caused by strangling these industries, infrastructure decay or whatever) they will not go silently into the night like the Soviet Union (see below: The Two Bush Presidencies) but like sightless Samson in the Bible-who brought down the temple of the Philistines in an heroic act of self-sacrifice killing hundreds-the mullahs will attempt to unheroically sink the world economy with biological/chemical and nuclear strikes on the oil fields of the Persian Gulf. If the mullahs can’t be captains of the Middle East dominating its oil wealth to ensure their survival into the next century (see note 15) they will sink the region and the “unsaved” world they can’t conquer, master and rule.

This is not far fetched as many in this fanatic regime (the Hojatiehs) believe that the collapse of the international order and world chaos will hasten the coming of their hidden messiah-the 12th Imam-and the promised world conquest of Islam. Hopelessness is not in the vocabulary of these men. Defeat is a word for infidels and weaklings. Convinced that God overshadows their brutal regime, that they are central to His plan for Islamizing the world, they will interpret the worst crises and situations as signs of opportunity and hope; signs that salvation is at hand for themselves and mankind through chaos and ruin. Gazing into the darkest abyss they will see the redeeming light of victory in an afterlife of deathless bliss and the triumph of Islam on earth with those believers left behind. Like Saddam Hussein who dared George Bush to pull the trigger and destroy his regime, and the murdering Taliban who dared the same, these men will play brinkmanship to the very end and take their country over the cliff straight into hell collapsing the pillars of the world economy as they go down in flames. There is no avoiding this catastrophe once the mullahs get the bomb except by the nuclear devastation of their land before they strike. Believing that much good will spring from great destruction the mullahs will use the bomb when they get it holding the world hostage to its expansionist plans making more and more demands on appeaser nations until they become a Moslem superstate and failing that unleashing their nuclear fury in an atomic inferno causing global economic ruin. If this weren’t so, Theo, if there was enough humanity in these men to overcome their nihilism and rage for doom when faced with defeat and political death the Columbia would not have perished with its 7 astronauts as it was a powerful sign supernaturally caused warning of disaster to come.

Theo, the coming catastrophe of a nuclear armed Iran to the oil rich Persian Gulf states and world economy is signified by Columbia’s destruction over the gulf state of Texas, the most productive oil rich state in the Union sharing its coastline with the Gulf of Mexico. The mullahs are on a rendezvous with destruction, their messianic mission, mindset and system of government make it so. The question is not if they will fall or when they will fall, but how they will fall? How much of the world will fall with them, how much of it will they take down, when they violently go into the night. How much chaos, death and suffering will they cause their people, the region and the world. In short, the disaster of STS 107, the fatal sign of evil Iran, warns us to erase from our minds any half measures when attacking this regime as Ilan Ramon and Columbia were completely erased from this life (see note 16).

THE START OF MILITANT ISLAM’S WAR ON AMERICA AND TAKING HUMANITY HOSTAGE

Theo, mid way in my letter on Ronald Reagan I made mention of the “11-4 trap” i.e., the significance of the number 114 as indicating the date November 4th, the day militant Islam’s terrible “holy war” on America began. This was the day when U.S. diplomats and their staffers were taken hostage by radical students in Tehran with the blessing of Ayatollah Khomeine who was intent on humiliating America to glorify and strengthen his new regime. I wrote that the number 114 was assigned by Providence to the Iraq War Resolution and was not the outcome of chance; that it was a sign warning us about Iraq becoming a trap for our troops; a trap that would bleed us militarily and greatly erode our clout and credibility with our regional allies to the benefit and empowerment of Iran.

I said that it was an indication of our nation being bogged down and shackled in a Vietnam like quagmire as virtual hostages to a pro-Iran regime fighting a war of diversion largely engineered by Iran to advance its nuclear weapons program and messianic dreams. But what amazed me about this number even more was the discovery that the number of days separating the passage of Resolution 114 and the Columbia disaster-occurring on the anniversary of Khomeine’s return to Iran-was exactly 114 (see note 17). Indeed, as Iran is responsible for much of the destabilizing violence plaguing Iraq and keeping us there amazingly and meaningfully the number of days separating the start of the War on Terror, October 7, 2001, and Bush’s State of the Union speech of January 29, 2002, where Iraq and Iran were correctly branded “axis of evil” states, was again exactly 114 (see note 18).

Theo, as the number 114 is a numeric sign indicating the Iran Hostage Crisis an incident that was cunningly used by Khomeine to consolidate his grip on power so now it indicates a new and more dangerous hostage crisis in Iraq (see The Death of Ronald Reagan); a crisis that is strategically benefiting mullah Iran like never before in its infamous history and turning it into a regional power armed with nuclear weapons-as America’s regional influence precipitously declines.

That is the sad reality, Theo. As our armies in Iraq are hostage to an obsolete policy of reconciliation and democratic nation building, two quixotic goals in the short run of history, a new order is emerging in the region more ominous and deadly than the one it’s replacing; more menacing to our security and that of the world than Saddam Hussein at the height of his madness: a nuclear armed Iran taking humanity hostage to its evil plans of becoming a great power and restoring Islam’s imperial glory by threatening to wreck nuclear devastation on the oil rich Middle East.

What began on 11-4-1979 is emblematic of the future, the fate that malevolent Iran has in store for the Middle East and the world. Taking humanity hostage is the ultimate oracular meaning of the number 114 a sign we must heed before its too late and a new age of darkness descends on the earth.

THE COMING OF NUCLEAR JIHAD

Theo, when I look at these signs and contemplate the events unfolding in the Middle East I tremble with fear. Columbia, on the one hand, is a call to arms against Iran, telling us that a preemptive war, as with Saddam, aiming at regime change, is the least destructive and costly of many bad options, whatever be the adverse consequences. But with the shackling of our troops to a lost cause in Iraq: the utopian dream of democratic peace between Sunni and Shia in a few short years (impossible at this time in history), the mullahs advance their evil plans funding terror on a large and growing scale, plotting the subjugation of the region through nuclear intimidation and the destruction of Israel and our land. As the subjugation of the region is now underway (see The Rise of Nuclear Iran), with frightened Arab leaders kowtowing to Iran, the destruction of Israel in a surprise nuclear strike comes closer to reality (see note 19). Don’t think for one moment that this is far fetched because of the threat of retaliation. For there are many in Iran’s leadership, as Michael Rubin says (Ahmadinejad, Rafsanjani, etc.,), who believe that their country “has the strategic depth to withstand [and survive] a nuclear strike.”

As Columbia bears the number 107, a number symbolic of Islamic Iran, and as Ilan Ramon (an Israeli Jew), symbolic of a surprise pre-emptive strike, was aboard the ship, this could very well signify a preemptive nuclear strike by Iran on Israel or visa versa-either catastrophe of which is preventable by moving our forces out of Iraq and into Iran to topple the mullahs before they go nuclear and the countdown to crisis expires (see note 20).

MUTUALLY ASSURED DESTRUCTION

Theo, those who like myself believe that nuclear deterrence or mutually assured destruction (MAD) will prove ineffective in restraining the nuclear mad, ideologically driven mullahs are vindicated by these signs. While the mullahs believe that they’ve replaced the Soviet State as the greatest challenge to U.S. power-many analysts draw analogies between the two-truth is they operate from a radically different belief system and because of that they’re many times more dangerous. While death in fighting for God and Islam is the mullahs’ religious ideal suffering nuclear obliteration while defending the faith or advancing its power means achieving the highest degree of happiness in an exquisitely blissful afterlife-a state infinitely preferable to life in the flesh. For the old materialistic Soviets with their vast military empire, and so much to lose, (this also goes for Communist North Korea), nuclear destruction meant eternal extinction, life and consciousness blasted into nothingness in a state of perfect non-existence infinitely less desirable than life.

Nuclear deterrence or MAD belongs to the Cold War era not to the age of Islamic terror and mass self-sacrificing murder. MAD is a virtually useless strategy with a jihadist regime that extols homicidal martyrdom-killing oneself and others-as the highest religious good earning the sublimest spiritual rewards. The madness of the mullahs renders MAD obsolete. Indeed, defeat due to miscalculation and committing an act so reckless as nuking Israel, directly or by proxy, will bring death to the attackers and massive destruction on earth, a small price to pay for the victory of heaven and ever lasting bliss.

THE NUMBER 107 AND THE INAUGURATION OF THE TWO BUSH PRESIDENCIES

Theo, on June 20th of this year, as I was reading a short biography on George H. W. Bush, the man who brought to completion Ronald Reagan’s mission of gutting the Soviet State, I got the idea to calculate the number of days spanning Bush’s inauguration and the day of victory when the “evil empire” disappeared from history. As that day was December 26, 1991 it intrigued me to discover that it was 1070 days from January 20, 1989 when Bush took the oath of office. As 1070 is the number 107 minus the last zero and signifies Iran, and the Soviet Union collapsed peacefully without violence or war, I began to question my assumptions; I began to think that perhaps I was wrong about the significance of Columbia and the necessity of the mullahs coming to a violent end. I began to think that perhaps sometime soon an Ayatollah Gorbachev might appear in Iran, a genuine reformer who will abolish the radical regime, hold free elections and normalize his country much like what happened to Russia under Gorbachev. Then I got the idea to add the same number of days to the inauguration date of Bush the son. This took me to the date December 26, 2003, 13 days after Saddam Hussein’s capture, a day of tragedy for the people of Southwestern Iran as the town of Bam was razed to the ground, leveled by a killer earthquake killing thousands. What this means speaks for itself: that those who believe in a soft Soviet type collapse of the nuclear mullahs are wrong, that this regime is entrenched in power and is determined to stay there whatever the cost to Iran and its people. No, Theo, as the Farsi word Bam comes from a mythical Persian warrior king named Bahman, the second king after Goshtasp (Khamenei is Iran’s second Supreme Leader after Khomeine) the destroyed city named after a king signifies the violent destruction of Iran’s sick, repressive theocratic rulers-and this should occur now, while the old, ailing Khamenei is in power (see note 21).

Theo, America is very much the Dr. Frankenstein that created the monster that is mullah Iran and like the doctor in the story who’s life is threatened by his creature it is necessary that we kill it (see note 22).

ISLAM’S PAINFUL THORN

Israel’s “unlawful, forbidden, unjustified, existence (according to Moslem law),” is an agonizing thorn in Islam’s side and every attempt to remove it, drastic or otherwise, has met with failure: conventional war, terrorism, cross border raids, missile attacks, relentless hatred and bigotry Israel has survived it all with its free way of life in tact to the outrage of Moslems who see her continued existence as a demonic attack on their faith. Indeed, the mullahs believe that the shameful failure of Sunni Arabs for 60 years to defeat Israel is a sign that God is reserving this honor for them, and that the final solution to its “hateful” existence is nuclear extinction.

Theo, if the mullahs succeed in surmounting the financial, political and technical challenges that impede the way to building the bomb, especially defeating America’s machinations, they will become dangerously hubristic and blinded by triumphalism. They will see the bomb as a divine gift, a token that God is with them in their plans to vanquish Israel and save Islam from the dishonor, humiliation and stigma of its existence.

While it is a world, regional and moral necessity that U.S. forces be in Iran fighting and killing the mullahs and their minions they are trapped inside Iraq serving a profoundly corrupt government of anti-Western, pro-Iran Shiites while the brotherhood of death develops the bomb with the clear intention of incinerating Israel for the redemption and glory of the faith.

The redeeming of Islam from powerlessness, the curse it has suffered since the fall of the Ottoman Turks, is the overarching aim of Iran’s jihadist regime; and if that means risking the lives of millions of Iranians by attacking Israel in a nuclear first strike then so be it. “Let Iran burn so that Islam prevails,” cried the crazed Ayatollah Khomeine who saw his people as sacrificial fodder and grist for the mill existing to serve the Islamic Revolution and its savage, bloodthirsty god.

The Khomeine regime is based on eschatology not reality on a vision that a universal conflagration will precede the coming of God’s messiah and a golden age of justice and peace on earth. Indeed, what is the martyring of millions compared to the immortal delights of heaven which those victims will enjoy having died for the cause? What is it compared to the victory of Islam over Israel on earth ushering in the messianic age on a tidal wave of fire and blood? Those who don’t take mullah eschatology and apocalyptic thought seriously, who laugh at it because it’s so irrational, mythical, childish and absurd are missing what is essential to their absurd, messianic, myth driven regime.

Theo, that a nuclear armed Iran will be an existential threat to Israel, the Iranian people and millions more in the Middle East is indicated by the following complex of numeric signs given by the demise of Columbia:

For the doomed ship was the 28th flight in the shuttle’s 22 year history, it vaporized over Texas the 28th state to enter the Union, occurring in February when that month had 28 days. Moreover, the disaster took place in the 28th month of the second Palestinian intefada which coincidently began on September 28, 2000 (see note 23). Now just as the number 107 indicates the nuclear Republic of Iran so does the number 28 signify ISRAEL as this name has a numeric value of 28 in the English language (see note 24).

Moreover, the Israeli astronaut Ilan Ramon was the son and grandson of Holocaust survivors. In fact, when he went up in space he took with him a drawing of a 14 year old boy (born 1928) who died in Hitler's camps (see note 25). Not only is 28 double 14 but the number 14 was the day in May when Israel was founded in 1948.

As an Israeli son and grandson of Holocaust survivors perished aboard a destroyed ship bearing a number signifying Iran and disintegrating over the Texas town of Palestine genocidal threats to Israel’s existence by Ahmadinejad and other Iranian leaders must be taken seriously as this monstrous deed can only be accomplished with nuclear arms.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE NUMBER 43

Moreover, Theo, and this is important, Texas alphabetically is the 43rd state of the Union a number which corresponds to the presidency of Texan George W. Bush and is ominously the numeric value of the words NUCLEAR BOMB. Indeed, the number 43, which is also the numeric value of the name ILAN RAMON (a name encoded with the anagram IRAN), is half of 86 a number that signifies the date 8-6, the day Ahmadinejad (a name whose value is 43) became president of Iran (in 2005)-a day of infamy which ominously coincided with the 60th anniversary of Hiroshima, the first dropping of a nuclear device in wartime (see note 26).

What we have here, Theo, is an unequivocal sign of prophetic import to the President and nation warning us about the consequences of inaction against Iran; warning us about the perils of our mistaken and obsolete Iraq first strategy, warning that this strategy is imperiling Israel, the people of Iran, the Middle East and the world. It is a warning that mustn’t go unheeded like the warning that was given for 40 years by Zionist zealots to European Jews before disaster struck and millions died in Hitler’s Holocaust.

Theo, if the president leaves office without taking decisive action against Iran, and such action must and cannot otherwise mean a comprehensive military campaign that deals the death blow to the mullahs, he could end his days the sorriest ex president in history as he has designated terrorist Iran an axis of evil state and pledged that it will not have nuclear arms.

BARACK OBAMA AND COLUMBIA’S DAMAGED LEFT WING

Indeed, it is practically certain that Bush will suffer this fate if White House candidate Barack Obama-a naïve, inexperienced soft-on-terror Leftist-should succeed him as president. For the cause of Columbia’s demise was due to a piece of broken off foam that damaged the ship’s left wing during lift off. It was the damaged “left wing” that brought down the ship. Let this be a warning to America when they cast their votes this November-falling as it does on the 29th anniversary of the Iran Hostage Crisis. For this weak, foolish, clueless man, with his utopian faith in diplomacy and talk and shallow foreign policy views, was ominously a graduate of Columbia U (see note 27).

THE NUMBER 44 AND NUCLEAR WAR

Theo, as the words NUCLEAR BOMB have a numeric value of 43, and Iran is coming close to building the bomb under Bush 43’s watch, so do the words NUCLEAR WAR, GENOCIDE and HEZBOLLAH have a value of 44, a warning of what could happen during the next president’s term if action isn‘t taken soon to rid the earth of the mullahs-something a President Obama would be disinclined to do (see note 28).

The logic is inescapable, the signs are clear, in the Global War on Terror everything urgently points to Iran.

TRAGEDY ON MT. CHEOPS

Skeptics with no faith in God or sense of Providence in their lives, who believe that the universe and world history are a fascinating play of mindless chance and accident will have great difficulty explaining as happenstance a parallel event which occurred that day, the day of the Columbia blast, just five hours later and several thousand miles away. For 285 minutes after the shuttle’s demise at approximately 1:45 PM Central Time on the ski slopes of Northwest Canada 7 10th grade school kids on a weekend ski trip were killed by a monstrous avalanche (see note 28). The 7 were of a party of 17, fourteen kids and three adults supervising the trip, with 10 surviving and 7 suffering death. As 7 10th graders gives us the number 107 and the 10 surviving victims and 7 dead kids also gives us that number it is an astonishing that as one of the dead astronauts was a Jew-and a skiing enthusiast-so was one of the killed students (see note 30). But even more mind boggling, transcending the limits of mathematical probability and known natural laws, is the name of the seven victims’ school. For just as the shuttle has the technical name “Space Transportation Systems” or STS the high school located at Calgary has the name Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School or STS. Moreover, just as the shuttle exploded over a town bearing a Middle Eastern name the avalanche occurred on Mt. Cheops named after an ancient Egyptian king. And lastly, just as the shuttle was named Columbia after the discoverer of the Americas Mt. Cheops is located in British Columbia not far from the Columbia River.

There can be little doubt about it, Theo, the near synchronization of these two human tragedies were signature effects of a Higher Being of incalculable spiritual power with the intellectual ability to arrange, coordinate and order such things-to arrange the lesser tragedy to bring the greater into focus as a prophetic event that we must heed as both tragedies combined are as nothing compared to the horrific events they foreshadow and signify. Indeed, with shock and awe the Deity was warning us about the growing threat of terrorist Iran and the horrific consequences of inaction as they develop a nuclear weapons capability to advance their messianic dreams. 14 people died that day 7 in each tragedy going to their deaths as sacrificial lambs to wake us from sleep and alarm us about the future; to warn us of a coming war, a holocaust in the Middle East where millions could perish because of Iran and our dangerous obsolete policies. A sacrifice of mercy heart wrenching for family, friends and loved ones but done for the greater good of America, the Middle East and humanity; done to stop terrorist Iran from militarizing its nuclear program and igniting a war of great and terrible destruction.

THE DEATH OF ZARQAWI

Theo, just as 7 brave astronauts died that day along with 7 young skiers in Canada so on the 25th anniversary of the Osiraq attack, a day memorable for the siege of Jerusalem by ancient Crusaders and its liberation by modern Jews (see note 31), the Jordanian born al Qaida leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi died, killed in a raid by two U.S. warplanes while plotting new crimes of terror in a safe house in Iraq. Killed by the same F-16s that pounded Osiriq Zarqawi died with 6 companions making for a total of 7 deaths.

As the number 7 has appeared with great frequency in these events: 7 astronauts and school kids perishing on a Saturday the 7th day of the week, with the death of 7 terrorists on June 7th you need to understand that this number is not recurring at random, that there is a reason for it, that it has meaning for the War on Terror. For the war is incomplete and 7 is the number of completion. This is the meaning of the number assigned to it by ancient traditions the world over. For 7 days complete a week as does the 7th note a music scale and our senior years, the 7th age of man, completes and crowns our earthly life (as Shakespeare said.) This number and these events violent, bloody and obscene call on us to end the War on Terror, to complete what was started on October 7th, to add the mullahs (a 7 letter name) to the list of dead regimes after the Taliban and Saddam; to wipe them out as we expunged Abu Musab Zarqawi (see note 32).

NOTES

1. The Osiriq attack occurred on June 7, 1981 56 days after Columbia’s maiden flight which was launched on April 12th twenty-two years to the day before the fall of Baghdad in the Iraq War. It was believed that Saddam was two or three years away from weaponzing nuclear reactor fuel which was supplied to him by the French.

On September 30, 1980, eight days after the start of the Iran-Iraq War, and 250 days before the Israeli attack, Khomeine sent two F-4 jets on a failed mission to destroy Osiraq. If Israel hadn’t succeeded where Iran failed Saddam would have certainly used his nukes against Iran.

2. Of the tens and thousands of towns and cities across America only six bear the name Palestine. The six are located in the following states: Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana Ohio, Texas and West Virginia.

3. The third event, considered by some the second Iranian Revolution after Khomeine’s return, was the seizure of the U.S. embassy and its diplomats 276 days later on November 4, 1979. Nevertheless, the destruction of Columbia on the anniversary of Khomeine’s return is emblematic of just how destructive the Revolution has been for Iran and its people with much worse to come if the mullahs go critical and build an atom bomb.

4. According to NASA the 22 year old 58 pound recorder box was not designed to withstand the fall back to earth from such a great height (200,000 feet). Its recovery in near pristine condition was astonishing and considered something of a miracle. Moreover, the box was found in Hemphill, Texas by a Florida firefighter, a man who hailed from the state that made George Bush our 9/11 President, and was the take off and landing site of the craft. The symbol of a firefighter finding the box on the day that would prove the beginning of the end for Saddam Hussein is significant in that he was metaphorically speaking a pyromaniac: a completely destructive character who was in the habit of lighting “one fire after another” as Hafez al-Assad once said of him. Saddam, a major state sponsor of international terrorism and murderously anti-Israel and anti-U.S., would never have stopped lighting destructive fires and causing us trouble. In deposing Saddam George Bush was slaying a fire breathing monster much larger and potentially more deadly than bin Ladin and his stateless band of crazed jihadists-the occasional recipients of Saddam’s terror funds as the Pentagon’s “Harmony Documents” and captured Iraqi intelligence data incontrovertibly prove.

Indeed, the state of Florida, governed by Bush’s younger brother (a possibility beyond reckoning), was Al Gore’s Waterloo where he came within 538 votes of beating Bush. Oddly enough on November 6th, last day of the 2000 race, Gore’s final campaign stop at Tampa, Florida was preceded by a rally at Waterloo, Iowa.

NOTE: Gore’s home-where he cast his vote within 24 hours of campaigning in Waterloo-was in Carthage, Tennessee. Carthage is named after the ancient North African city and birthplace of Hannibal the Carthaginian general who came close to defeating Rome in the Second Punic War-as Napoleon came close to beating Wellington at Waterloo. It is interesting to note that one of Gore’s campaign stops that year was Hannibal, Missouri birthplace of Mark Twain.

6. Amazingly, when the 41 letters of the words Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom are turned into their numeric equivalents, using the standard English numerology system, and then adding up the numbers we subtract the lesser amount from the greater it gives us the numeric value of the name Iraq, hence:

This is another way of showing that the two operations were integral parts of one over-arching campaign.

7. Unfortunately, the mission in Iraq went awry when the President turned a war of necessity to oust a menacing dictator-which we won-into a battle to democratize Iraq which we are losing despite growing security gains due to the surge. Ending Iraq’s security threat to the United States-which was very real and growing under Saddam-the mission was changed into a nation building project which has mired our forces in Iraq as Iran benefits strategically and replaces Saddam as a more deadly and dangerous foe achieving a nuclear capability that Saddam never had.

8. In his protracted deadly eight years war with Iran (1980-1988) it is likely Saddam would have used his nuclear weapons killing hundreds and thousands of Iranians and establishing himself as the undisputed king of terror in the region and world. In absence of having the bomb Saddam used chemical weapons killing tens and thousands of Iranians. Preventing this catastrophe and the regional and world threat of a nuclear armed Iraq more than justified Israel’s daring action. Indeed, after nuking Iran Saddam would have used his arsenal to intimidate his oil rich neighbors into submission and realized his terrible dream of becoming the Joseph Stalin of the Middle East.

9. Aside from the Iraq War being the final solution to Saddam’s nuclear and regional ambitions, the Iraq invasion, as Thomas Barnett said, had a shocking “Big Bang” effect on the region-signified by the shuttle’s massive explosion. Barnett uses this term to describe the catastrophic changes triggered by the removal of Saddam which are necessary for the region’s future evolution in a democratic direction. However, Barnett is mistaken in limiting the Big Bang to Iraq and thinking it sufficient to liberalize the region in the long term. The shuttle disaster indicates in the starkest way that until the explosive effects of the Big Bang are extended to Iran (signified by the explosion of the ship on the anniversary of Khomeine’s return) with the mullahs meeting Saddam’s deserved fate, it (the Big Bang) will not be sufficient, full or complete.

10. It is a fact that Sunni Arab leaders, inside and outside Iraq, reject Iraq's right to exist as a Shia dominated state and are hell bent on returning the country to the status quo ante of Sunni control-note that to date not one Arab leader has visited post-Saddam Iraq-a trip scheduled for July by King Abdullah was unexpectedly cancelled for unknown reasons. One can only guess that it was due to pressure from Saudi Arabia and other Sunni states.

It has been observed by CNN anchor Michael Ware-an objective, nonpartisan reporter in Iraq who has spent much time in Anbar Province with Sunni tribal leaders-that Iraq's Sunni Arabs, with an army 100,000 strong, hate and distrust the pro-Iran Maliki/Hakim government and reject any notion of living as a powerless minority in Iraq. Reconciliation could take generations. We would need to "occupy" Iraq for decades before ancient differences and animosities are resolved and this we cannot do and dare not do with radical Iran militarizing its nuclear program and threatening the region with destruction. Worse than a sectarian war in Iraq is Iran becoming a nuclear armed state. Unless our forces in Iraq are redeployed to Iran before the mullahs get the bomb there will be a nuclear event in the region with catastrophic consequences for the Persian Gulf, America and the world. This coming catastrophe is what the Columbia disaster-the mother of all omens- was designed to warn us about and prevent.

11. When we convert the 21 letters of the name ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN into their numeric equivalents we get the following result:

You will notice that the name Iran by itself has a numeric value of 24, a number made famous by a TV show about nuclear terrorism coming to our shores.

Is the show 24 a prophetic warning about a nuclear armed Iran attacking America, or holding us hostage to an attack, through its domestic agents Moslem or otherwise (FARC for example)? That is not far fetched as the doomed and desperate mullahs will take the most extreme and desperate measures to advance their evil aims and ensure the survival of their regime as they believe that the salvation of Islam and humanity depends on it.

12. Amazingly, the Ayatollah Khomeine’s date of birth on 9-21-1902 is reducible by addition to the number 24, hence: 9+2+1+1+9+2= 24. As mentioned above the Columbia exploded on the 24th anniversary of Khomeine’s return to Tehran from exile. As if to remind us that the Columbia disaster foreshadows the fate of the Khomeinist regime, that its destruction is immutably decreed, and that sooner or later-the sooner the better-we will be forced by events to intervene in Iran or vaporize the country in a nuclear attack, Iran’s President Ahmadinejad visited Columbia University on the 24th day of September on a date that is reducible to the number 24, hence: September 24, 2007 or 9+2+4+2+7=24. Indeed, the arrogance shown by Ahmadinejad during his Q&A at Columbia, preceded by a request to lay a wreath at the World Trade Center, signals the unbending nature and intransigence of the regime and that its power, like Saddam’s, must be violently broken.

It is interesting to note that Israel’s decimation of an alleged nuclear reactor deep inside Syria-with U.S. help-just 18 days before Ahmadinejad’s Columbia visit fell on a date that is also reducible to the number 24, hence: September 6, 2007 or 9+6+2+7=24. The mullahs had good reason to be worried over this strike-an Indian diplomat reported that there was panic in Tehran-as the Osiraq and Syrian strikes foreshadow a likely Israeli raid on their nuclear sites if the U.S. doesn’t act first.

NOTE: As Columbia was a U.S. space mission with Israeli participation this could indicate a joint U.S. Israeli air strike on Iran’s nuclear and military sites, or Israel hitting Hezbollah in advance of a U.S. raid. Nevertheless, such an operation would not fulfill the Sign of Columbia which calls for a complete destruction of Khomeinist rule as the best way forward for all.

13. Knocking out the mullahs would neutralize their ally Syria, another state sponsor of terror as well as Hezbollah, Hamas and Iran’s government proxies in Iraq.

14. From February 1, 1979 to July 16th was 5 months, 15 days (165 days) or 23 weeks. From July 16th to December 25th was 5 months 9 days (162 days) or 23 weeks. Amazingly, 165, the number of days separating Khomeine’s return to Iran from the beginning of Saddam’s presidency, is a factor of the number 1980, the year that Iraq invaded Iran, hence: 165x12=1980

15. In a 2007 study the National Academy of Sciences said that Iran could run out of exportable oil by 2015. According to economic geographer Roger Stern after years of overproducing, beyond what OPEC allows, Iran since 2005 has been producing less oil scarcely able to rise above its quotas. The reason for this is not entirely clear. But as 65 % of Iran’s government revenues comes from oil exports the mullahs and their revolution are faced with utter ruin unless they can drill new wells and boost production or seize the oil fields of Iraq, Azerbaijan or Saudi Arabia.

16. This is a terribly harsh thing to say I know, and I apologize to the family and friends of this brave man for saying it. But an Osiraq like bombing raid on a regime with multiple nuclear sites dispersed throughout Iran is way too risky, especially if they have steel hardened underground facilities with parallel uranium enrichment programs.

17. From October 10, 2002 to February 1, 2003 was 114 days. Moreover, from October 7, 2001, the start of the Global War on Terror, and October 10, 2002 gives us a total of 368 days. Amazingly, this number is a factor of 1104 or 114, hence 368x3=1104.

18. From October 7, 2001 to January 29, 2002 was 114 days. It is interesting to note that in the President’s “axis of evil” speech the 114th word is “embassy” and that the 1142th, 1143th and 1144th words are “axis of evil.” Did this happen by accident? Or by divine inspiration?

19. Just today, June 22, 2008, a day rich in ideas and insights, I discovered that the numeric value of the title to my essay “The Rise of Nuclear Iran” is exactly 106 a number which signifies the date October 6th or 10-6 the date of the Yom Kipper War when in 1972 Egypt and Syria launched a surprise military attack on Israel, hence:

20. If Israel were to preemptively strike Iran then it must be a blow so completely and comprehensively crushing that Iran would have nothing to hit back with. To ensure this the attack would have to be a massive nuclear event that wipes Iran off the face of the earth killing millions of its people.

Though such a disaster would live in the annals of infamy as an horrific crime against mankind in reality it would be an act of necessity for Israel's survival well beyond blame and moral opprobrium. Nevertheless, if such an horrific event were to occur it would be mostly due to our Iraq first policy and failure of nerve forcing Israel to take extreme measures.

21. Since this earthquake took place inside Iran it would tempt one to read into this tragedy an oracle foretelling a violent domestic upheaval against the regime, a Thermidor and counter revolution with the mullahs going to the guillotine or hung from the highest trees by angry mobs. But given the climate of today’s Iran such a thing is unlikely. Though every now and then boisterous student protests and workers strikes erupt in Iran its people are mostly docile and lack the will to take up arms and fight for freedom. This sad state of affairs is confirmed by Shirin Ebadi, the Nobel Prize winning Iranian human rights activist, in her best selling book “Iran Awakening (see page 215).”

Unfortunately, Theo, the Iranian people are not our allies in the struggle against their rulers; those who predict a coming revolution show the “audacity of hope” and nothing more. A shattering earthquake to end the nightmare of mullah rule can only come from outside Iran; and America who deserted the Shah and practically put the mullahs in power is morally and historically obligated to cause it.

22. I thought up the Frankenstein-Iran analogy after reading a Town Hall essay written by Dinesh D’Souza comparing Madeline Albright to the Frankenstein monster because of her callous view that Clinton administration sanctions on Saddam Hussein’s regime which killed up to 500,000 Iraqi children was a good and necessary thing. After deciding to include the analogy in this work I then researched the book Dr. Frankenstein only to discover that its author Mary Wollstonecraft Shelly, wife of the famed poet, died on February 1, 1851 128 years to the day before Khomeine, our Frankenstein monster, returned to Iran to terrorize its people and the world.

23. Exactly 2 years, 4 months and 4 days or 856 days separate the start of the second Palestinian intafada and the shuttle’s demise. Oddly enough while Iran, denoted by the number 107, is a state sponsor and chief funding source of Hamas the number 856 is a multiple of 107, hence: 107x8=856.

Interestingly enough Israel like the Lone Star State (28th to enter the Union) has a flag emblazoned with a single star.

25. The drawing called Moonscape was created by 14 year old Petr Ginz in the ghetto labor camp of Theresienstadt in 1942. Ginz along with 46,000 Jews were transported to Auschwitz death camp on October 26, 1944 where he was murdered.

     ILAN RAMON

Amazingly, the name Ilan Ramon in the Hebrew language has a numeric value 387 a number that is a multiple of 43 nine times, hence: 43x9=387. By an uncanny coincidence, and perhaps very meaningful and prophetic, the F-16 that Ramon flew during Israel’s raid on Osiriq was plane number 243. Could this somehow prefigure an Israeli strike on Iran sometime during Bush 43’s 2nd term? It is a fact that the first Israeli jet to hit Osiraq was plane 107 (a signifier of Iran) when it should have been plane 129 flown by the squadron leader; it is also a fact that these F-16s were originally intended for sale to Iran, but that is a story for another day. As I said above a preemptive strike by Israel must be as devastating to the Iranian regime as it was to Saddam’s nuclear reactor. And such a strike can only mean a nuclear event where Iran practically ceases to exist. Either Israel destroys the mullahs once and for all or they end gaining in strength as did Hezbollah after the “July War” of 2006 where the IDF flew over 12,000 combat missions and fired over 100,000 shells causing billions in damage and hundreds of deaths. Though President Bush announced that Hezbollah lost the war the pro-Iran terror group is now emerging as the main power in Lebanon gradually bringing the country under control. As U.S. policy in Lebanon has suffered a significant reversal with Hezbollah coming out triumphant ironically the July War lasted 34 days the number 43 reversed.

Theo, it also needs saying that the President’s delisting of North Korea as a U.S. enemy and state sponsor of terror after grossly violating its agreement to make full disclosure of its nuclear programs may very well be a dire warning for Israel and America about Iran. I say this because not only was the announcement made from Kyoto, Japan, the only country to suffer a nuclear attack, but the date ominously fell on June 26th 43 days after Israel’s 60th birthday and 34 months (43 reversed) from Ahmadinejad’s coronation as Iran’s sixth president which, incidentally, fell on the 60th anniversary of the nuking of Hiroshima.

One last sign indicating the grave danger of Hezbollah’s (and Iran’s) growing power to Israel and the region is the number of days separating the start of its July War with Israel on 7-12-2006 to the start of its recent short lived civil war in Lebanon which began on 5-8-2008. For the start of both wars are separated by exactly 666 days. As 666 is the number of the Great Beast of St. John’s Book of Revelation, an awful archetype of murdering tyrants and despots of great power, this signifies that from a small jihadist beast sprung from the loins of radical Iran Hezbollah is gradually turning into a bigger and more dangerous monster.

These signs are warning Israel and America that if they are planning to attack Iran either jointly or separately that they will end up strengthening the mullahs and enhancing their prestige unless they are totally destroyed.

In sum, Ilan Ramon with his Holocaust associations foretell a nuclear strike on Israel by Iran or the reverse in a preemptive war of self-defense by Israel. For these signs of a Holocaust can go either way.

As Ahmadinejad was believed to have been one of the many radical students that participated in the seizing of the U.S. embassy in Tehran on 11-4-1979 you will notice how the last three letters of his name fittingly gives us the number 114, the number of hostage taking.
